Call for papers for 5th MENASASI Seminar, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, 7 to 9 November 2017

The Middle East and North Africa Society of Air Safety Investigators (MENASASI) will hold their 5th annual seminar at the Elaf Red Sea Hotel, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from 7 to 9 November 2017, hosted by Aviation Investigation Bureau (AIB) of Saudi Arabia. We are seeking papers on contemporary air safety issues, recent developments, and current or recently completed investigations. Attendees and presenters from industry or outside the region are particularly welcome. Intending presenters are invited to submit name and position, a brief bio and an abstract of the presentation. |
Papers are also invited to address contemporary matters on aviation safety investigation, including recent case studies, new investigation methods and aviation safety trends or developments.
For those interested in presenting a paper, submissions of abstracts are due by 15 August 2017. Abstracts should include a title and up to 300-word summary of the main points of the proposed paper. Please also include your name(s), affiliation, position, and a brief resume.

The panel reviewing the submitted abstracts will consider criteria such as the quality of the paper and the relevance to the seminar theme and air safety investigation. The panel will also endeavour to ensure that a broad range of topics are covered during the seminar. Decisions on the selected abstracts will be made by the 1 September 2017 and details on the required format of the papers and presentations will be issued at that time. Presenters will be required to submit their papers by 1 October 2017.
